In the collaborative project Among Descent, I led the team’s efforts as Project Lead and Technical Artist to craft an immersive experience for our participation in the Recto VRso Art & VR Gallery competition at Laval Virtual. This VR and MR experience takes audiences on a surreal journey alongside "The Lost Giant," a dynamic, ever-transforming entity representing the chaotic beauty and uncertainty inherent in AI-generated art.
The narrative unfolds across dreamlike landscapes, including primordial forests, cultural mosaics, and cosmic voids, offering an exploration of AI’s search for identity while challenging traditional anthropocentric perspectives. My role encompassed directing the project’s vision, ensuring the seamless integration of VR and MR technologies, and developing visual effects that accentuated the emotional and thematic depth of each scene.
By blending cutting-edge technical artistry with creative storytelling, Among Descent invites reflection on the unpredictable creativity of AI and its evolving interplay with humanity, encouraging audiences to ponder the future of art, identity, and technology.
